Although technically not an app, Rewordify was worth mentioning for this week's Friday "Appy" Hour. When looking for a solution to help level text for struggling readers, fellow AT professionals suggested that I look into Rewordify. It was exactly the tool that I needed , and not just for the students with special needs, but for all learners.Developed by a special education teacher and former computer programmer, Rewordify helps students read complex passages that would normally present themselves as impossible or extremely difficult. At it's most basic level, Rewordify takes a more complex passage and helps to simplify the language using more accessible or "every day" vocabulary.
